Ok guys, I need your help.
I'm trying to remember the name of this chick flick. I'm pretty sure it came out in the 90's.
The plot went something like:
a guy and a girl live in houses next to each other, and they both have balconies facing each other's rooms. They end up falling in love in the end. There is an incident at prom where their prom was being held on top of the pool (which was closed) but someone opens it and everyone falls in.

I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT THIS IS CALLED! But I really want to see it again. I thought Freddie Prinze Jr. was in it, but according to IMDB, he isn't.

This ringing any bells with anyone? Please say yes.

EDIT: Found it!! Thanks to my lovely Lauren and Netflix (we actually found it simulaniously, but I'll give Laur the credit, since I love her more than Netflix) I figured out it was "Whatever It Takes" starring Shane West and James Franco.
Phew. Glad that is sorted.
Now maybe I can do some work.

Today's suck-tacular, stressful day was brought back into happiness by THIS MOVIE!!



D.E.B.S. may be a cheesy movie about women who shoot guns and kiss girls, but I LIKE IT! Just the fluffy pick me up I needed.
Also, my room is clean.
And the Pink Martini channel on Pandora is awesome.

I FINALLY saw The Wrath of Khan last night when I hung out with Matt and Dave and Tim. We watched that and The Last Starfighter. Both horrible sci fi films. The Spock/Kirk ship was outstanding in Khan. So much shippery goodness! No wonder their couple started fanfiction. (No, seirously, I did a paper on it.)
I almost wasn't going to go because I'd felt like shit all day and had a massive headache. I'm gladI did though. I ended up having a great time. Those guys are just hilarious, and I very much hope to see more of them. ^_^

Work has been slow, as usual. I'm off in about an hour though, so that's nice.
Tomorrow, I get to go see my kitty-niece! woemakesmesmile  brought Oprah up from Des Moines, and I am so psyched to see her. (Not so much to actually hang out with Max, though.)
Then HOPEFULLY I will get to see eternal_clocks , sjounouchi , and Tom on Wednesday. I miss them.
I gave away my last 20 bucks to the bank this morning to pay my Netflix bill, so hopefully my check on Friday (first paycheck of the summer!!) is going to be more than what I owe for rent this month. I could use some spending money. And, you know, have to pay other bills and stuff.

After work plans:
-read more Bridget Jone's Diary
-put up epic Big Bang Theory zombie fic. (may actually post link on here, as am very proud of it.)
-take a bath

P.S. How ridiculously hot out was it today? It wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the damn humidity. We'd better get SERIOUS stormmage tonight.

We had girls night last night, complete with two packages of cookies and some delicious cake that Mark made. lovelbow , pyro19  and belladonna33 came over, and we watched the Sex and the City movie (adorable! must watch the show now!) and then He's Just Not That Into You, which - despite being really awkward at points - I thought was great. Mainly because Mac Guy ended up with Obsessive Phone Call Girl, and I sort of identified with OPCG, seeing as how I obsessed over a guy for like... way too long. But it brings me hope that maybe I'll find my very own Mac Guy!

This afternoon, Kate is coming over for a bit to watch more of season 3 of Robin Hood. And by watch, I mean make fun of, because it's far too awful for me to take seriously anymore. Then I've got work until 9:15. And then... who knows?

I just started a Big Bang Theory Penny/Sheldon fic involving zombies, and I think I'll write that until Kate gets here. And maybe eat cake. And take my laundry out of the dryer. I wait far too long to actually do laundry. I am not good at this whole living thing. Whoops.

Tonight I:
-watched Empire Records. WHAT A GREAT MOVIE!! I will be buying it on DVD as soon as i hit up Half Price Books again.
-choked on some ice cream/spice cake and ended up retching into the toilet. My mom came down in a tizzy and proceeded to blame gluttony. Ha. Yeah. Or maybe it was just my inability to properly eat spice cake.
-had more inevitable family drama, as seems to happen every time my family gets together. But everyone still managed to have a great time, and the food was pretty good too!

Tomorrow, I:
-am going to St. Kates to hang out with Llama, and show my aunt Becky around the campus.
-am going to the cathedral in St. Paul.
-have to register for my Gaelic 3 class. Blech.
-am going to have lunch at India Palace. YEAH BABY!
-really want to hang out with Sigz.

Night all!!

My dizziness has not gone away. I've been attempting to eliminate factors all day, but so far I am still just dizzy.
I also haven't eaten hardly anything all day. But before you attribute it to the lack of eating (which is so unlike me!) know that I was dizzy during and after I ate anything. So it's not food.
I'm guessing its an inner ear thing. If it gets worse/doesn't get better tomorrow, I'm going to the clinic at school after my seminar.


Movie recommendation: LAST OF THE MOHICANS!! Daniel Day Lewis looks oh so delicious, so does the guy who plays Uncas. I have this thing for Native American men. And they were all so delicious!!
The soundtrack kicks serious ass too.

I wrote the first page of a Robin Hood fanfic today. Haven't written one of those in like a year.
And I finished my sem paper!! I need to get it cited before class tomorrow, which means I should probably set my alarm. But its written! Its done. I'm done with it. Boo-yah.

The castle was TONS OF FUN!! I found a house that looked like it should belong to Mr. Darcy on the Blarney property too. It was soooo pretty. The castle was awesome as well, though I nearly had a heart attack trying to get to the top because of my fear of heights. But I did it! Take that, fear!

Yesterday, much to the complaints of my wallet, I went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was very good!! Sad, of course. Didn't try and have a happy ending just to please the audience, but I felt it had exactly the ending it should have. Cate Blanchett is just as foxy as ever and Brad Pitt did a fantastic job!

More to write later, I must now clean up the room, eat lunch, and head out my seminar. I miss you all!
p.s. I cracked and bought P.S. I  Love You on DVD for 10 euro. Here's hoping it actually works on my computer.

I adore Wednesdays for their sleeping in. Woke up at 9:00 (which sadly is sleeping in for me, now), lazed around.
I'm ashamed to admit I have done much more than laze around today. Printed off my paper that's due in an hour. Does that count?

I went to the G.L.O study abroad meeting upon Kate's very violent insistance, and we ended up watching l'auberge espagnol. (The Spanish Apartment) I'd seen the movie before, but it really hit home this time, what with my leaving in 3 short weeks. (it's about a french guy who goes to live in Spain for a year.) Apparently there is a sequel movie called les poupees russes that I also want to see now. Follows the stories of the roommates from the story.

[deep breath] Christ, I'm leaving in 3 weeks. I can hardly think about it. But I think I'm becoming ready. Slowly.

I very well may applaud when Mulder and Scully make out on screen in the new X-files movie. And cheer. And possibly leap out of my seat.

Happy BADWOLF day!! I can't wait for our party!
I am going to propose a season finale shindig at my place next Saturday, since apparently they aren't showing both episodes tonight as we had originally thought. So yes, ladies (and any gents who care to show up), if you are up for it...
Otherwise I will watch at the big viewing party at CONvergence. Like I did two years ago. Where I bawled my eyes out because Rose was stuck in an alternate dimension.

I still have 7 hours and 50 minutes left of work before said party can commence, though. Lamers.

Mom and I are going to see Wall-E sometime this week!! According to Heather, its really cute.
