Halloween was much better this year than last, though it still didn't hold the charm it used to when I was a kid. When I'm older and have money, i would very much like to buy expensive costumes, hold huge parties, and bring back the magic.
I realized last night with much disappointment that though I have shifted social groups since high school, the main bulk of co-ed parties I attend (which, granted, isn't very many) feature video games as their main draw point. Even the party I'm going to tonight is another "yay Rock Band!" gala. This is due in great part to the fact that I hang out with lots of nerds, and social points for nerds are TV and video games. What happened to music and good conversation? That's what I want to know.
Oh well, tonight won't suck, at least. I'm not going to wear heels though, I'm just gonna wear my flip flops. Enough of trying to look nice at the expense of comfort.
( some day, I want this pic framed and hung on my wall. )
